From the Ashes update

After I finished my outline for At the Gates's sequel, I started writing a little bit here and there. I finished a cool chapter about a race's mythology, then started writing some other scenes. So far, I have the prologue down, the first 2 chapters, and a random chapter in the middle. The book is sitting at 12k words, and it is looking to be about the same size as At the Gates.

On a personal note, I am liking writing this novel way more than At the Gates. I actually have a plot. Not only that, I am doing more traveling and exploring exotic locations, so I get to world build even more. Coming up with races and their religions founded in the regions that they live in is so much fun! It seems like everyday I want to come home and write more, and there just aren't enough hours in the day for me. A few weeks ago, I had a cool scene I wanted to do, so I sat down at 10 p.m. to start writing it, and before I knew it, it was 2 in the morning. I had a hard time waking up for work the next morning, but oh was it worth it.

I really am loving this novel, and I hope you guys will too.
